Alright, so I’ve returned, after a short hiatus. Coming back hopefully for the summer. Anywho, to the release. This is 11 of 12, a small independent rock/comedy band from Montreal, Canada. While other bpluss like Radiohead or Nine Inch Nails have achieved internet fame by working with record labels plus then promoting themselves through the internet, 11 of 12 seeks to be solely sustained by the internet. I know that this is not a scene release, but I really like this bplus, cause they make me smile, plus they are trying this social experiment thing. If you can help them out by just downloading

11 of 12 is a Montreal, QC, Canada band comprised of Jordan Walder on bass plus vocals, plus A.J. Cordeiro, guitar plus vocals. With there release of their first record (when Cordeiro was not a part of the band), the band got “international attention” after airplay on CSKY John Abbott College Radio. Dissatisfied with results of the CD, the band broke up.

On Feb 26, Walder announced the return of the band, with a new style plus outlook, plus a new member. A.J. Cordeiro, member of Watch Justice & This is Epic, brings together the new creation.

11 of 12 has asked Brahms, Edvards & DuHagen Records to place their album on BitTorrent. On Tuesday, April 29, the album was placed on the Pirate Bay. The record label has also stated that they will be “Featured Content” on the homepage of Mininova.com, one of the largest torrent sites. The decision came directly from band member A.J. Cordeiro. “It’s time to embrace the new revolution of the changing media landscape,” said Cordeiro. “We are a small bplus, with little or no contact to the big 5 [record labels]. We trust in the internet, real people to choose us. We want to support our fans, new and old. It is also proven that those who pirate the most are among the highest who purchase music.” Jordan Walder stated that the new album, “Caution: Area Patrolled by Attack Bunny Security Co.”, is form of social experiment. “Unlike major selling acts, like Nine Inch Nails or Radiohead, who achieved success through major record labels, and then moved to the internet, we are seeking to become a band supported and sustained primarily by the internet.”

11 of 12 released their second album on May 1st, 2008 (May Fools!!).
