Well throughout the third season, a persistent plus elusive serial killer has been challenging the team. It’s the Gormogon killer, the one with the silver skeleton. One of the CSIs could be working with the killer, we just don’t know who yet.

The Pain in the Heart: When a human jawbone shows up at the Jeffersonian, Brennan plus the team quickly realize that the Gormogon serial killer has struck again.
