Chaps from group DOMiNO obviously got their hands at some crazy source of “B” movies as they publish more releases one is able to consume - or would like to consume. Eye Of The Beast is yet another low budget horror focusing on a terrible monster (Kraken this time) destroying anything in its sight. There’s a fairly decent budget of $2M which allowed producers to pay for some real actors at least. The quality is usual 1 CD rip.
This menacing monster yarn stars James Van Der Beek as government scientist Dan Leland, who’s sent to investigate reported sightings of a giant squidlike beast that’s put the entire population of a fishing village on edge. Though Leland starts his journey confident that this sea creature with an insatiable appetite is the stuff of old legends, a string of horrific occurrences soon begins to change his mind.
