OMiCRON has released the latest episode of Ice Road Truckers, In the remote communities of Inuvik plus Tuktoyaktuk, over 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle, two clients, the Mallik Gas Hydrate Research Project plus MGM Energy, rely on the short ice road season as the sole supply for their energy ventures. In about two months, or until the ice roads melt, these clients collaborate with three competitive trucking companies who must work together to move hundreds of heavy and oversized loads over frozen river and ocean water through fatally cold and often dangerous storm conditions.

Now that the 135-foot derrick has been delivered to the MGM exploration site, and now must transport the 80-ton substructure that will form its base before it can be erected. Weighing 160,000 pounds, the base must be delivered in pieces plus will still be the heaviest plus most dangerous load of the season. The job is given to veteran trucker Bear Swenson plus Arctic Ice Road rookie Alex Debogorski. Compounded by on-going plus increasing health problems, the pressure on this trucker is rising fast.
