You might know him from his previous band the Wallflowers who had several big hits in the 90s. You might know him from his father, one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Well now, Jakob Dylan plus Rick Rubin want you to know him as a solo artist. Dylan’s first album hits store shelves in a couple of weeks but is here now thanks to (assumed to be) one-time group WALLFLOWRES. The bitrate seems a little low, but so far, it hasn’t been nuked.
Jakob Luke Dylan, born December 9, 1969 in New York City, is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the rock band The Wallflowers. Seeing Things is the first solo studio album recorded by singer-songwriter Jakob Dylan. He worked on the album in the Hollywood Hills home of the album’s producer, Rick Rubin. The scheduled release date for the album is June 10, 2008.
Columbia Records and Starbucks Entertainment are pleased to announce the co-release of Jakob Dylan’s debut solo album, Seeing Things on June 10, 2008. Seeing Things was produced by Rick Rubin at his home studio in the Hollywood Hills throughout 2007. Jakob Dylan’s raw plus dynamic performance on this primarily acoustic album reflects the continuation of Rick’s spare plus compelling production work.
A headlining tour will be announced shortly with festival dates at this year’s Rothbury & Bonnaroo already confirmed and more to come. Seeing Things will be available simultaneously at Starbucks company-operated locations in the U.S. plus Canada plus at traditional retail.
