John Adams is a 7-part HBO miniseries produced by Tom Hanks that runs as a biopic of John Adams and the story of the first fifty years of the United States. The HBO series has received an almost 9.9/10 rating by each of the 25 voters on imdb, either proving a grand conspiracy by the cast plus crew or real viewers who were amazed. The TV.com rating also pins the show a Superb 9.3 with 51 votes. The series runs until April 20. The first three episodes I have posted at once, since I did not start watching until today. Further on, there will be weekly postings of the HDTV plus 720p releases when available.

Boston, 1770. In the aftermath of the Boston Massacre-a deadly street confrontation between American colonists and an occupying British brigade-John Adams takes an unpopular stplus by agreeing to serve as defense attorney for the accused British soldiers. Counseled in his summation by his beloved wife Abigail, Adams wins the case-but surprises the British by turning down a lucrative position with the Crown. As pro-independent sentiment boils over in Massachusetts following the Coercive/Intolerable Acts, Adams is invited to join the newly created Continental Congress. After a rousing speech to his constituents, he says an emotional goodbye to his family before heading to Philadelphia–and an uncertain future.
