Another post from me, on what is otherwise, a dead day. It’s been a decent weekend for music releases, but dry as a well seemingly for anything else. FNT brings everyone the new album from emo rock superstars The Academy Is…, a few days before it’s released. This is their third studio album, plus in that time, they have built a very loyal fanbase. So if this is your thing, check it out.
The Academy Is… is a band based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. They were originally known as “The Academy”, but added the “Is…” in 2004, to avoid legal complications with other established bpluss already going under that name. They are signed to record label Fueled by Ramen and have released two full albums, Almost Here and Santi, and are preparing to release their third album, Fast Times at Barrington High, in August 2008.
